Tanzanian Trails offers tailor made Tours, Safaris, and Trekking around Tanzania to suit everyone! Ranging from one day trips hiking to stunning waterfalls and rain forests at the base of Kilimanjaro, to 9 day treks to the peak of Africa’s highest mountain; Tanzanian Trails will custom build an adventure to complete your individual experience of East Africa.
Tanzanian Trails also offer volunteering experiences for anyone wishing to give back to the local community in the town of Moshi, on the lower slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. These voluntary projects mainly comprise of teaching; ranging from pre-primary children to teaching adults wishing to improve their English skills to help them with everyday life. Although qualified and experienced teachers are welcome and encouraged to volunteer within primary and secondary schools, no previous teaching experience is necessary. There is also the chance to lead after school activities such as sports, arts and crafts and music projects.

Tanzanian Trails was founded in 2008 by Richard Mosha, originally from the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania, who has over 5 years experience as a mountain and trekking guide. It was co-founded by Alisea Devaughn, originally from London, England. Alisea fell in love with Tanzania whilst managing an NGO in Moshi; which offers support to the local community by providing volunteers to some of the poorest projects in the Kilimanjaro region.
Together, they identified a gap in the market for custom made tours, safaris and trekking, aimed at a wide variety of people; from students and volunteers, to honeymoon couples and those wanting a luxurious, top of the range adventure.

Tanzanian Trails are dedicated to giving back to the local community in which they are based. Not only do they offer volunteers to support the local community, they are also currently working in partnership with Australian based not-for-profit organisation Team Vista. The key principle of Team Vista is that 'Business and the community can work together to achieve social and environmental outcomes'. Team Vista's aim is to improve the lives of underprivileged children and youth in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. Team Vista is currently working on a project entitled 'Kilimanjaro Kids With Futures'. The goal of the project is to build a new school and orphanage that will educate and house around 180 children from the town of Moshi, located on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanian Trails offers it's services to this commendable organisation, by putting together adventure and hiking packages for volunteers wishing to raise money through sponsorship for Team Vista.
